E3 2015 has come and gone, and with it a barrel of gaming news and a mountain of swag. While I couldn't care less about 99% of the shirts & shit given out to attendees, when I caught wind of this Magnetic Rico figure I just had to have one. Though +Bill Schmidt kindly offered to send me his, I turned to eBay in order to nab one for myself
Just Cause 3 is one of my most anticipated games of 2015. Everything I see about the game just gets me more and more hyped, so grabbing one of these Rico figures was an absolute must.
Though Magnetic Rico only measures up to about 2 and 1/2 inches, he's nicely detailed. Though I have to say, the barrel from the rifle on his back is... err... unfortunately placed when viewed from this angle.
As diminutive as the figure may be, Rico is armed to the hilt with a rocket launcher & machine gun strapped to his back, two side arms, and his trademark grapple-hook glove.
An ingenious touch, is embedding two magnets in Rico's boots allowing him to get into all sorts of gravity defying shenanigans, akin to action of Just Cause games. the '03' on the bottom of his boot is a nice, subtle nod to Just Cause 3.
The magnets on Rico's boots are strong enough to support him in all manner of poses, though I would still be careful where you place him. Would be a shame to watch your figure fall out of reach - though anyone who's played a Just Cause would find it an appropriate ending to Rico.

This figure is an awesome piece of swag, and one that I was able to score for a only a few bucks. It's got me even more hyped up for the release of Just Cause 3 at the end of this year.
No doubt I'll be taking Rico on many adventures to come, leading up to the December release of Just Cause 3.
